Porcelain Crowns and Veneers
Porcelain restorations require the partnership of the dentist and the dental laboratory to fabricate crowns, veneers and bridges that are bonded or cemented onto prepared tooth surfaces, usually over two appointments. It combines the skill of the dentist and the artistry of the laboratory to create beautiful, long lasting restorations that mimic the most ideal tooth aesthetic.
Veneers #1--Before. This patient had worn teeth, black triangles, and mismatched shade of his natural teeth compared to the crowns adjacent to them.
Veneers #1--After. Porcelain veneers were used to harmonize the contours and shade of the teeth, restore length and width, and block out the black triangles. His comment afterwards: "I wish I had done this a lot sooner!"
Crowns #2--Before. This patient had a patchwork of fillings and worn edges that she wanted to see improved. The debate is always whether to crown four or six teeth. In this case, we agreed to do four for now.
Crowns #2--After. She received four porcelain crowns and now is able to smile confidently. She has received many compliments about how natural they look!
