Bonding
Cosmetic bonding utilizes composite resin technology to adhere to the tooth surface, facilitating contour, shade and orientation changes in one appointment.
Bonding #1--Before. Undersized teeth, midline gap and uneven arch contour.

Bonding #1--After. I used cosmetic bonding to increase the size of the lateral teeth and to close the midline gap between the central teeth. By increasing the thickness of the lateral teeth as well, it improved the arch contour. In the end, we re-introduced a smaller midline gap because the patient saw it as being truer to how she saw herself, and that was easy to do with the bonding.

Bonding #2--Before. Gappy smile due to narrow central and lateral incisors.

Bonding #2--After. Bonding was used to add to the length and width of all four incisors for a more even smile.
Bonding #3--Before. This patient had just finished orthodontic treatment but due to a mismatch in jaw size to tooth widths, there were residual gaps that needed to be filled. She also had chipped edges and disharmonious tooth lengths.
Bonding #3--After. Cosmetic bonding was used to fill all the gaps, to harmonize the lengths, and ultimately to make her smile more esthetically appealing. With the teeth now touching, there is much more lateral stability.
